How big is the map?
Rockstar has never given a figure. It says only that the map is larger than GTA V's. The numbers you see elsewhere come from the community mapping project, which reads RAGE engine coordinates out of the debug overlay visible in the 2022 leaked footage. That method is clever and has been broadly accurate — but in 2026 the project deleted Leonida's entire panhandle, because no trailer or screenshot ever showed it and fans had simply assumed it existed by analogy with real Florida. Any estimate published before that revision is overstated.
