Two trailers have aired. A third video — which Rockstar calls an extended look rather than a trailer — premieres on 27 August 2026.

Released 4 December 2023, a day earlier than planned after it leaked online. Ninety seconds set to Tom Petty's “Love Is a Long Road”. It confirmed the Leonida setting, modern Vice City and Lucia as the series' first female protagonist, and closed on a 2025 window. It set Guinness World Records for the most-viewed video game trailer in 24 hours — 90,421,491 views — and the most-liked, and became the most-viewed non-music YouTube video in a day.
Released without warning on 6 May 2025, days after the first delay, set to The Pointer Sisters' “Hot Together”. It named Jason Duval, showed the pair after Lucia's release, introduced the supporting cast and toured more of Leonida. Rockstar called it the biggest video launch of all time: over 475 million views across platforms in 24 hours. It arrived with full character biographies and dozens of official screenshots.
Premieres 27 August 2026 on Netflix at 3:00 PM ET, then on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official site at 9:00 PM ET. It is expected to be the first substantial gameplay footage, and it is the first time Rockstar has debuted GTA material on a third-party streaming service. Take-Two's chief executive described the Netflix premiere as an appetiser, with more to follow.
